“Graduation Day-Preparatory

“Graduation day - A momentous day to cherish the achievements of our young ones as they said goodbye to Preparatory”.

Our preparatory 2 children made us proud with their accomplishments and the Graduation Day was a day full of celebrations and heartfelt goodbyes from all their teachers and support staff. Every teacher was delighted to see the children showcase and speak about the topics they learnt. Parents cheered their wards and were ecstatic as they were felicitated by the Chief Guest Mrs. Radha K. Gowda, Director, Kidzee and dignitaries from VSPS with certificates and graduation scrolls.

Our Preparatory 1 children made this day extra-special by their flamboyant and flawless rendition of cultural program right from anchoring to all the wonderfully delivered dance sequences. Their display of leap start activities, dance on Indian states and the thank you song dedicated to the staff and parents were the highlights of the day and were greeted with big rounds of applause along with cheering from the audience.

The day started with lighting of lamp by dignitaries and events well-orchestrated by lovely anchoring of Preparatory 1 children.

All-in-all, it was a day filled with pride and emotions for teachers, staff and parents alike.

 

Indelible moment – Celebration of Graduation Day @ VSPS

As rightly quoted “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

The Grade -10 batch of 2019 -20, at Vidya Soudha Public School dreamt of seeing themselves adorning their graduation robes, and this is what exactly happened in the graduation ceremony, held on 2ndFebruary 2020.

The programme commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries, followed by the prayer.

The High school students steered the event by divine invocation dance which marked an elegant beginning of the programme. The proud moment came when the students made a grand entry on the stage in the graduation robes ‘N’ caps and the dignitaries felicitated them with graduation certificates and citation. 

The speech by the all the graduates spoke volumes about the beautiful bond with the school and teachers. The stars of VSPS enthralled the audience by their soulful rendition of songs, which created bittersweet nostalgic atmosphere. The chief guest of the day Dr. Manje Gowda, Chairman of Vidya Soudha Group of Institutions addressed the graduates with his wonderful words of wisdom, on carrying life forward with long confident strides and making right decisions. Every member of the audience had a teary eye, when they were taken down the memory lane, with video presentations.

Padmashree M -Principal addressed the graduates with a special note describing about unique inquisitive talents of students. She emphasized on the importance of schooling and the values to carry forward in their life. She also stressed students to equip themselves with adequate skills and knowledge to face the challenges and to excel in their career.

In her speech she said the school will always be eager to know the future achievements of each student and wished them success in all their future endeavors. The programme was concluded by the expressions of the parents who thanked the management and staff for their wonderful contribution in grooming their kids.

Annual Sports Day-2019-20

VSPS celebrated its Annual Sports Day 'KreedaSpoorti' on Dec 24 2019.It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers. Students from Pre prep to Grade 10 participated in different sports event.

The chief guest of the day Mr.Pavan ManjeGowda - Executive Director of VSGI and Mr.Ravishankar Trustee member of VSGI lit the ceremonial torch followed by spectacular, impressive and well synchronized March Past by all four houses. The principal laid emphasis on the importance of sports in  student's life. 'Winning or losing is secondary participation is important' was the attitude of all the students. Chalukya house won the rolling trophy for scoring the highest points.

This award reaffirms our commitment towards providing best quality education through innovative teaching methods.

Tarang -2019

This year at VSPS,  we portrayed The  connection between the two sides of the village/city duality to find out how the local is a product of the global and how the local has re-appropriated the global, giving it a meaning. Tarang 2019 – 20 highlighted the richness of culture, traditional games & spirit of innovation.  The theme of the show ‘Ooru to Bengaluru’ resonated with the audience and the wonderful performance by the students captivated them.

Dr. Gururaj Karajagi, an eminent educationist, Chairman of Academy of Creative Teaching and 

Retd. Col.  Maheshwara Hosmani were the chief guests for the show. Mrs. Jean George President of Karanataka ICSE School’s Association was the guest of honour. Dr. Manje Gowda Chairman of Vidya Soudha group of institutions and other trustee members graced the occasion with their presence. The guests celebrated many achievements of the students, from credence of musical, thespian and dance performances on the stage.  An astounding visual treat enthralled every spectator present in the auditorium for the day.

Sovereign spectrum of ‘Kshana Kshana’ Quiz Competition 

Curiosity, eagerness was filled in air as an interschool quiz competition was organised at Vidya Soudha Public School on 16th November, 2019. Around 50 school students took part in this interschool quiz competition. The theme of the programme was based on the true spirit of Kannadiga. The event reached its pinnacle as the eminent quiz master Dr. Na Someshwar of ‘Thaat antha heli’ fame hosted the programme with zeal. This programme gave an opportunity to the participants to evoke their knowledge about Kannada & Karnataka as the scope of that quiz programme gave the arena for them to widen their knowledge about our state. Fervent participants in each team gave a tough battle to each other. The winning team received the cash prize by the management of Vidya Soudha Group of Institutions. the programme concluded with wise words from Dr. Na Someshwar where he urged to keep the language alive.

Colours Carnival-2019

One of the flagship events of VSPS Preparatory “Colours Carnival” was conducted on Saturday 7th of September, 2019. It was a successful program by the presence of parents and the dignitaries who attended sparing their valuable time.

Significance of various hues was portrayed by the tiny tots of preparatory with the colourful props and dresses. The kids were filled with enthusiasm and earnest desire to portray and present themselves in the character they were playing. It was a colourful fiesta of butterflies, rainbow, flowers, dance forms of nature and colourful emotions presented through various dance forms related to the theme.

The dedicated team of teachers put their heart and soul in preparing these children for the wonderful day. Anchoring by these lovely kids is a testimony of their speaking skill which was highly appreciated by the guests and the parents.

The speeches of the chiefguest Mrs. Sowmya Devan, chairman Dr. Manje Gowda and other dignitaries was full of praise for the efforts put in by the entire team. Program ended well with every one carrying indelible memories of the event.

 

KISA Utsav Regional Finals 2019 @VSPS

KISA Utsav Regional Finals 2019 was held at the Vidya Soudha Public School in Bangalore with great zeal and enthusiasm. The formal function was inaugurated by Mr. Roshan Menezes, Chairman of Carmel High School. It was also presided over by Secretary of KISA, President, Vice President and the KISA members. This was followed by melodious invocation song.  About 550 students showcased their talents in the various programmes held. As host VSPS provided a unique platform to the students to exhibit their talent and ingenuity. Students enthusiastically participated in the different literary and cultural events like western instrumental music, group song, dance, declamation, debate, quiz, creative writing, pick and speak & drawing & painting competitions.

 

Students of various schools presented their views strongly, delivered the speech of great personalities splendidly, gained the mastery over writing creatively, brainstormed their imagination and presented their work artistically, mesmerized the audience with their melodious voice and graceful dance.   

 

The Cultural Fest ended with the grand celebration of the valedictory function where the chairman of Vidya Soudha Group of Institutions, the EC Members and the judges presented trophies and certificates to winners of various competitive events. Dr. Manje Gowda, the Chairman of Vidya Soudha Group of Institutions appreciated and applauded the winners for their excellence in performing the competitions. 

 

Independence Day Celebration With a ‘Noble Gesture’-2019

Independence Day, a day that marks the freedom of our nation; a day that brings a sense of pride when we notice how much we’ve accomplished; a day that reminds us of the grandiosity of our beautiful country. 73RD Independence Day was celebrated at VSPS Bangalore with a difference. Our heart went out to those, who were shattered and battered by floods. Blending patriotic fervour and human values we showed our solidarity by lending a helping hand.

 

Celebration was a low-key affair with unfurling of the Tiranga, followed by national anthem and patriotic songs sung by the Youngistan of VSPS.  Dr. Manje Gowda the Chairman of Vidya Soudha Group of institutions in his insightful speech highlighted on the progress of our country and the reaching of the basic amenities to the common man.The principal of Vidya Soudha Public School, Mrs. Padmashree M in her speech reiterated to lend a shoulder for the support for the gentle cause and thanked all the parents for their cooperation.The entire family of VSPS generously donated flood relief materials for the noble cause which was handed over to Samarpan trust. The entire flagship was monitored by the virtue of compassion and generosity.

Aloha International Level Competition in China-2019

The Aloha Mental Arithmetic International Competition 2019 was recently held at Guangzhou – CHINA on 22nd July, 2019. Nearly 650 participants from more than 11 countries including INDIA, China, Bangladesh, Russia, Malaysia etc had tried out their mental arithmetic skills in a tough battle of calculations.

From VIDYA SOUDHA PUBLIC SCHOOL, BENGALURU five students had represented from INDIA along with other students across the country. We are very proud of the meritorious achievement of our students at the International level, who have brought laurels not only to our Institution but also to our country by bagging various awards.

Investiture Ceremony-2019

“Students of today are the visionaries and the torch bearers of tomorrow”.

The investiture ceremony is a solemn occasion where the young students are all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted upon them.

The investiture ceremony of VSPS, for the academic year 2019 – 20 was held on 06-07-2019 at the school auditorium with a high degree of passion and fervor.

The event was presided over by our honorable Chairman- Dr.Manje Gowda, Principal – Ms.Padma Shree and the trustee members. The dignitaries present took the Guard of Honour. The student council members administered their oath and were bestowed with badges and sashes. The  school council members of the entire school pledged to work solemnly. The Head boy Mr.Bhargav.N and Head girl Riya Jalan shared their thoughts in their speech upon taking up their valued responsibility.

The office bearers were encouraged by an inspirational speech by our Chairman Dr.Manje Gowda who emphasized on leadership and the need to have social and environmental awareness.

First Aid And Basic Life Support Workshop-2019

Unpleasant though it may be, the fact remains that accidents happen. 
It’s a must for students to learn the first aid basics such as CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) , handling bleeding and choking, and be ready to encounter all kinds of risk starting from minor incidents to major emergencies. 
Keeping this in mind we at, Vidya Soudha Public School provided a platform for our highschool students to attend a workshop on First Aid and Basic Life Support technique which was organised by People's Tree Foundation.
The workshop imparted knowledge of commonly occurring situations in our day to day life. It also gave an opportunity  for students to understand basic principles of First aid including common illness and injuries. Students gained hands- on practice on student friendly manikins for the Basic Life Support [ BLS]. The workshop was comprised of 4 workstations which was lead by  Dr. Supraja Chandrasekhar - Chief-PEOPLE TREE Paediatrics and the team of enthusiastic doctors. They explained about common medical emergencies and surgical emergencies or common injuries.
This was followed by an interactive & fun Team Quiz. 
A Pre Test and a Post Test  was also conducted to determine the retention from session. 
This short work shop  was definitely a great success as it empowered our students  to be responsible to handle medical emergencies and save lives.

Frank Anthony Debate Competition-2019

The prestigious Frank Anthony Memorial all India Inter School Debate championship was hosted by VidyaSoudha Public School on 11th July 2019. Various schools from different region participated.

The clarity of subject and eloquent speaking were highlighted of each individual debater. The way they got into the subject and then into the hearts of the audience was remarkable. The audience were captivated by the way they defended their case. The Principal Mrs. Padmashree welcomed and wished luck to the students and guests. Judges addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to be positive, constructive and confident while on stage. It was all a very enthusiastic competition.

MINDSPARK

Illuminating the quitessential mind

Effective parenting is so difficult to achieve in today's challenging society. The need of hour is to find a solution for the tough challenges which are posed in the present modern world. To cater to the child’s complete holistic development and to ignite and empower the parenting skills an introspective ‘MIND SPARK’ seminar was organized at Vidya Soudha Public School.

An eminent educationist, an inspiring orator and the member of the advisory board of the Vidya Soudha Group of institutions, Dr. Guraraj Karajagi presented the interactive seminar which covered the topics such as Healthy upbringing of child, different parenting styles, do’s and don’ts of parenting, moulding child’s behaviour, bringing up the ethical value amongst young minds, accepting the uniqueness of child and active involvement of parents – spending useful time with children. With this interactive session he captivated the audience and also answered many questions which were posted by parents. 

The Principal, Mrs. Padmashree M, expressed appreciation about the positive impact of the seminar and reflected about the challenges faced by the present-day parents in this tech savvy world. Over all this event was fruitful, as it kindled, sparked and made everyone feel that they have transformed to be positive people.

Kannada Rajyothsava 2018

Kannadada kalarava - celebrating Rajyotsava @ VSPS

 

We, at Vidya Soudha Public School believe that culture and Heritage is something that remains in the heart and soul of the people's mind. In our school we put effort to imbibe the values of cultural integrity, in every child's mind.

 

Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations at Vidya Soudha was filled with excitement and enthusiasm. At the outset, various in - house competitions such as Pick and speak, creative writing, declamation, debate, Karnatakada savi ruchi - food fiesta, Rasaprashne quiz competition on Karnataka's rich heritage were conducted. 

 

A special assembly was conducted and it began with a speech highlighting the history and significance of celebrating Rajyotsava. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the day by singing the state anthem and understood the importance of culture and language.

 

Cultural program included resonating invocation song which mesmerized the audience. Students performed a vibrant and energetic dance and sang folk songs with great vigor and added colour to the event. Mrs. Padmashree M, the Principal urged to imbibe the cultural richness and asked students to learn about the state’s historical legacy. 

 

Mrs. Priyanka Singh, the Vice Principal glorified the richness of the language by reciting a magnificent verse in Kannada. The whole program kept the spirit of Kannada alive and celebrated the essence of being a true Kannadiga.

Kala Sambhrama 2018

  THE SOVEREIGN SPECTRUM OF VSPS KALA SAMBRAMA

Vidya Soudha Public School organized Kannada extravaganza - KALA SAMBRAMA 2018 – an Interschool Fest comprising of a cluster of interschool competitions across all grades. The Fest witnessed Innovative competitions and culminated on 17th November, 2018.   A beautiful Rangoli depicting the pride of Karnataka and replica of Hampi stone chariot designed by the art teachers festooned school arena captivated everyone’s attention.  The event was a success with an overwhelming response from many schools in and around Bangalore.  Around 300 participants had registered for different categories. The events included - Katha Sangama (Story Telling), Natya Mayuri (Group Dance), Chinnara Chilipili (Action Song, Chinnara Cheluvu (Fancy dress), Kala Kaustubha (Drawing Competition), Thattantha Mathadi (Pick and Speak), Kavya lola (Creative Writing) and Samvada Saurabha (Debate). The valedictory function was graced by renowned personalities – Mrs. T. Poornima   a noted orator and yoga practitioner and Dr. Asha Srinivas an eminent educationist. Mrs. T. Poornima spoke about the pride and richness of Kannada Language and urged that every Kannadiga must be proud to speak and improve their mother tongue. Dr. Asha Srinivas hosted Kshana Kshana - Quiz competition, as well as in her speech emphasized the rich heritage of Karnataka and encouraged people to spend time in exploring the wide range of Kannada Literature.  The entire event was a grand success as it not only promoted Kannada Language but also rekindled the true spirit of being Kannadiga in young minds.

Dasara Utsav 2018

DASARA UTSAV - 2018

 

Keeping the festive spirit alive, Dasara Utsav was celebrated on 12th October at Vidya Soudha Public School. Various activities like Thali Decoration, Dandia Stick Decoration, Quiz, Rangoli, Drawing & colouring competitions were conducted to enhance the festive spirit in this season. Many parents actively took part and enjoyed this gala event with us.

Cultural programme began with soulful invocation song followed by a mesmerizing dance of teachers to the dandiya beats, which was a surprise pack for everyone. The ardent team of teachers also presented “Ayodya Khanda” -  a Ramayana skit, which glorified the occasion. After the Skit was the turn of quiz round based on the event, which filled everyone with utmost excitement. The atrium was buzzing with cheers from the enthusiastic audience and exhilarated and active participants. DJ Night concluded the event with foot tapping music.

To mark Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil, the effigy of Ravana was burnt along with which everyone promised to shun one evil habit. The Principal, Mrs. Padmashree wished everyone on this occasion, while inspiring all to follow the path of truth.

Fathers Day 2018

Father’s day for preparatory for 2018-19 academic year was celebrated on 23rd June 2018. The fathers were invited with handmade paper Tie who accompanied with their children. Different activities and games were planned involving both child and father. The celebration started with welcome speech followed by invocation. In both activities and games, father and child proved as good pairs and enjoyed the time together.  For all the game, prize was presented for winner and runner. The participation of fathers showcased their involvement in their child’s growth. The celebration ended with vote of thanks.

Janmashtami was celebrated on 3rd September 2018. The preparatory children came dressed as Krishnas and Radhas. Prepararatory kids presented assembly enacted the episode of Lord Krishna’s birth, sang song and danced joyfully. Children understood the essence of celebrating Janmashtami.
