Diwali Celebration & Purple Day-2019

We all look forward to the festival of Diwali every year with lots of excitement, and why shouldn’t we? After all, it’s the festival of lights, and combines the opportunity to gorge on yummy sweets and spending some quality time with friends and family.

The festival of lights was celebrated at Vidya Soudha Kids,  K R Puram branch on 25th October, 2019 along with purple Day. Kids were dressed in Purple Colour to symbolize the Purple day celebration. Never the less our tiny brought beautifully decorated diyas which changed the school environment to a festive look. Teachers made beautiful rangoli which added the perfect setting to the festivity.

During the morning assembly teachers briefed about the significance of the festival how good always conquers the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across the country. Center Head Shayista Umme Salma sensitized the students about the ill-effects of crackers.

Students brought objects seen in purple colour were displayed and discussed in the class. They shared the objects with their friends and enjoyed the activity thoroughly. This activity inculcated the habit of sharing and caring. They also learnt about different purple coloured objects that were brought by other classmates.

Purple day celebrations prompted the young ones to think how colour enhances and influences our lives. It turned out to be a remarkable day filled with fun and enthusiasm.

BLUE DAY - 2019

On Friday 30.08.2019 the school campus turned blue in colour to celebrate ‘Blue Day’. From teachers to kids, all were dressed in blue as part of the celebration. The kids were made to learn importance of the colour blue by using several creative models.

They carried their favorite Blue colour object and spoke few sentences about it. They enjoyed the day with fun filled activity.

Blue Day was an amazing learning experience which had a long lasting effect on each student. Early identification of colours helped to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words which is an important part of a child’s development.

It was indeed a visual treat to see the good effects of blue colour on our little ones.

World Environment Day is one of the principal vehicle through which the United Nations (UN) stimulates worldwide awareness to improve the Earth's environment.

Children too can make a significant contribution in saving the environment. It is the right time for children to learn about the environment, how they can preserve it and why. Starting early can truly make a difference and inculcate habits they will carry on as they grow.

In connection with Environment we took our kids to the Maharaja Park as field trip on 06th June, 2019 and made them experience the nature’s eternity towards the mankind. Children’s were explained how trees grow, what are the uses of tree. Field trips bring better grades in studies through real-life connections and hands on experience of the lessons they are learning in school, students are more likely to understand the subject better.

Pictures of the grand event reflect the efforts put in by the children, teachers and parents of the Vidya Soudha Kids. Parents were welcomes by offering a small flag to pin to their clothes by our staff.

The programme started with parade by our tiny tots along with the Chief Guest Mr. Mohan, Chief Administrative Officer, VSGI and Mrs. Shayista Umme Salma, Center Head, VSK, KRP followed by  flag hoisting & cultural programme.
