On August 15, 2024, Vidya Soudha Public School(VSPS),KIADB ,Hassan celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit. The event commenced with unfurling of the national flag by the team of Principals, Dr.Range Gowda , Dr.P VishwaPrakash Mahadimane , Mrs.MamathaNatesh , along with the teachers and students.
The ceremony began with a march past by the school band, followed by a rendition of the national anthem. The students showcased their artistic skills through a colorful cultural program, which included patriotic songs, dances, and skits.
The event also featured guest speeches by esteemed personalities, Dr.RangeGowda Principal of Vidya Soudha Management Science, spoke about the role of education in shaping the future of our nation. He encouraged the students to become active participants in the country’s growth and development. And Dr. P VishwaPrakash Mahadimane, Principal of Vidya Soudha PU College spoke about the significance of independence.
Principal, Mrs.MamathaNatesh, in her address highlighted the importance of unity and integrity in maintaining the country’s sovereignty. She thanked the guest speakers and she encouraged the students to take pride in their heritage and work towards building a brighter future for India.
The celebration concluded with the pledge-taking ceremony, where the students vowed to uphold the values of freedom, justice, and equality.
In addition to the school-level celebrations, VSPS also participated in the district-level Independence Day celebrations held at the District Stadium. The school’s students delivered a captivating patriotic dance performance, competing with other schools in the district. Their energetic and synchronized performance impressed the audience and judges alike.
The highlight of the day was when VSPS was awarded the trophy by the District Incharge Minister, K N Rajanna for their outstanding performance in the patriotic dance competition. Principal. Mrs. Mamatha Natesh Madam, proudly received the trophy on behalf of the school, acknowledging the students’ hard work and dedication.
