2024-25: Kannada Rajyothsava and  Children’s Day

Report on Kannada Rajyothsava and  Chidren’s Day Celebrated in Vidya Soudha Public School , KIADB , Hassan

Vidya Soudha Public School, KIADB , Hassan, proudly celebrated Kannada Rajyotsava and Children’s Day with great enthusiasm and fervor on 14 November 2024.

The ceremony began with the pooja of Kannadambe and warm welcome to  the Chief Guest, Dr. Rangegowda sir, Principal of Vidya Soudha College of Management Science, Hassan, and Mrs. Mamatha Natesh madam, Principal of Vidya Soudha Public School, KIADB , Hassan .

Dr. Rangegowda sir, emphasized the importance of Kannada language and culture, saying, “Kannada is our mother tongue, our life language and a vital part of our culture”   and we must preserve and promote it.  He also stressed the significance of Children’s Day, also quoted Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ,”Children are the future of our nation, and education is the key to their success ,we must nurture their talents and skills.”

Mrs. Mamatha Natesh ma’am expressed the need to preserve Kannada language and culture. She encouraged students to respect and appreciate Kannada, She also wished everyone a happy Children’s Day. She compared the children to beautiful blossoms and motivated them to spread their fragrance everywhere.

Students presented vibrant cultural performances like  Traditional Kannada folk songs , Shishu Geetha , Kodava dances  , Kamasale and Poetry recitations etc . The celebration witnessed the cultural spirit of our students  who presented colourful cultural programmes.

The teachers also made the occasion memorable for the children with a special assembly. The children were treated to a melodious medley of songs followed by a colourful dance performance by their teachers.

It was a fun- filled day for the students, School campus was buzzing with excitement and joy as it was a day wherein fun and frolic dominated. There was excitement in the air and the little ones left the school with a bag full of stories about their special day at school. The celebrations came to an end with the distribution of mini chocolate cakes as a small token of love and affection by the school.

The Kannada Rajyothsava and Children’s Day celebration was a grand success, fostering unity, cultural awareness, and joy among students and  teachers.
