Vidya Soudha Public School, KIADB ,Hassan celebrated International Music Day and Yoga Day on 21st June 2024 with the theme of the 10th International Yoga Day – “Yoga for Self and Society,” to instill the importance of Physical fitness and Mental alertness among students. The students learnt to maintain balance, peace and poise which can act as a sublime expression of the quest for excellence for synthesis and harmony.
The celebration began with lightening the lamp. Vidya Soudha Public School, KIADB, Hassan showed mass participation in International Yoga Day and International Music Day. Under the guidance of our respected Principal Mrs.MamathaNatesh, enthusiastic students participated in International Yoga Day and International Music Day with great pleasure and elation. Yoga and music sessions were organized for the students for maintaining their physical and mental well-being.
Various yoga postures and asana including pranayama and meditation were performed by the students. Warm up exercises were taken and all the students performed sitting and standing asana, importance of these were explained simultaneously.
Celebrating the glorious tradition of World Music Day, the students delivered a musical introspection of our culture and individuality by singing songs of various genre like Bhava-Geethas, folk songs, a medley of Bollywood songs , Carnatic music and western music.
Honorable Principal ma’am, in her visionary words motivated the students to practice yoga and learn music as both are much-needed in today’s scenario to maintain overall health, reduce stress and stay connected with the divine source of strength i.e., the Almighty.
International Yoga Day pervaded the message to work for humanity and reunite ourselves with yoga. International Music Day also encouraged the young students to learn music of their choice and remain energized. Eventually, it revitalized the soul and being of the whole Vidya Soudha family to remain self-motivated and healthy for the wider goal of optimism and insightful growth and development.
