2025-26: Independence Day celebration

Amidst the gentle rain drizzle, the 79th Independence Day celebrations at Vidya Soudha Public School, KIADB, Hassan, ignited the spirits of patriotism and nationalism, filling the air with vibrant colors and melodious sounds. The festivities commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the illumination of knowledge and freedom.

As the students marched in unison, their footsteps echoed with pride and enthusiasm, their hearts beating as one. The flag was unfurled by the esteemed Executive Director of VSPS, Mr. Pavan Manjegowda Sir, Chief Guest Capt. R L Krishna Sir, and the team of Principals of VSGI. The National Anthem, Vande Mataram, and Raitha Geetha resonated through the air, filling the hearts of all present with patriotism and devotion.

Chief Guest Capt. R L Krishna, a distinguished Retd. Ex-Army Officer addressed the students, emphasizing the significance of Independence Day and the importance of discipline in every individual’s life. His words inspired the students to become responsible and patriotic citizens, upholding the values of freedom, justice, and equality.

Executive Director Mr. Pavan Manjegowda Sir wished the students and addressed them to become responsible citizens of India, striving for excellence in all their endeavors. Principal Ma’am delivered a thought-provoking Independence Day speech, highlighting the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and the importance of preserving our nation’s rich heritage.

A special Felicitation ceremony was held to honour Capt. R L Krishna Sir for his selfless service to the nation.

The celebrations continued with a vibrant cultural program, featuring patriotic songs, role-plays depicting patriotism, and other performances that showcased the students’ creativity and talent. The rain drizzle couldn’t dampen the spirits of the students, who performed with enthusiasm and passion.

As a sweet gesture, the students were distributed sweets, symbolizing the sweetness of freedom and the joy of celebration. The dignitaries and teachers wished the students a Happy Independence Day, as the young minds embarked on a journey of patriotism, responsibility, and national pride.

As the celebrations came to a close, the students, teachers, and dignitaries departed with a renewed sense of patriotism and national pride, carrying the torch of freedom and responsibility forward, illuminating the path for a brighter future.
