Vidya Soudha Public School, KIADB, Hassan, hosted a unique and engaging Mathematics fest, Metric Mela, which aimed to make learning mathematics a fun and interactive experience.
The event was inaugurated by Principal Mrs.MamathaNatesh, Co-ordinators and Mathematics teachers. The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by address of Principal. She added significance to mathematics event by inspiring students and emphasizing the importance of academic excellence and entrepreneurship in education.
The students of different classes showcased their mathematical talents through various cultural programs, including dances and songs.
Metric Mela featured a range of hands-on activities that demonstrated the application of mathematical concepts in real-life situations. These activities enabled students to learn mathematics through experimentation and exploration.
One of the highlights of the event was the supermarket activity, where students set up a mock supermarket and sold stationary and food items to their peers, teachers, and parents. This activity provided students with a unique opportunity to experience entrepreneurial development and learn about profit and loss concepts in a practical and engaging way.
The Metric Mela was a resounding success, with students, teachers, and parents enjoying the various activities and programs. The event achieved its objective of making mathematics learning fun, interactive, and relevant to real-life situations.
