On 7-2-2024, Vidya Soudha Public School, KIADB, Hassan witnessed an insightful and interactive Road Safety Awareness Campaign Program conducted by the Transport Department in collaboration with the Suvidha Team of Doctors from the Rotary Club of Hassan Heritage. The program aimed to enlighten school bus drivers about the critical aspects of road safety and reinforce responsible driving practices for the safety of the students.
Objectives of the Program:

Program Highlights:
1.Regulatory Compliance: Mrs. Asha, Motor Vehicle Inspector, elucidated traffic laws and regulations pertinent to school bus operations, emphasizing the significance of adherence to speed limits, traffic signals, and parking protocols. Drivers were briefed on the legal obligations and responsibilities associated with their role in ensuring passenger safety.
2.Health and Wellness: Healthcare professionals from the Rotary Club of Hassan provided insights into the physical and mental well-being of drivers, highlighting the significance of stress management, fatigue prevention, and ergonomic practices. Drivers were educated on the importance of maintaining optimal health through regular exercise, adequate rest, and healthy dietary habits to enhance their performance and overall well-being.
3.Emergency Preparedness: Emergency response personnel facilitated practical demonstrations on first aid techniques and emergency protocols tailored to the unique challenges faced by school bus drivers. From basic CPR training to evacuation procedures, participants gained invaluable skills and knowledge to respond effectively to unforeseen emergencies and ensure the safety of passengers under their care.
