Vidya Soudha Public School, KIADB held its Annual sports Fiesta 2023 on 23rd Dec, Saturday in the school premises. It was a day filled with mirth and joy for the students and parents. We at VSPS firmly believe that it is through sports that children can learn values like discipline responsibility, self confidence, sacrifice and accountability.
Principal Mrs. Mamatha Natesh extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries, students, parents and teachers for their benign presence. She also laid emphasis on the importance of sports in a student’s life.
After the lighting of the torch, the Annual Sports Meet was declared open by Mr. Somashekhar, National level Basketball player and our Executive Director Mr. Pavan Manjegowda. A spectacular March past was performed by the students belonging to the four houses: Akash, Agni, Jal, Pruthvi. The students solemnly pledged to uphold the spirit of true sportsmanship. Our preparatory kids showcased aerobics, flower drill with great zeal. Sports for parents were eye catchy. They were all the part of this sports fiesta. Primary and high school students showcased lezims dance and drills with many formations.
Winners were distributed the trophies and medals. The guest praised the Endeavour’s of the school and rendered blessings on the students. Executive Director motivated the students to accept greater challenges in their life and always move forward without looking back. The spectators were particularly enthused and praised the students’ efforts profusely. This was followed by rendition of vote of thanks. The school playground rimmed with flags and balloons reverberating thus ended with a cheerful note and singing of the National Anthem.
