In endeavor to make our VS Prep kids, KIADB better human each day ,we strive towards holistic education.ie..we are teaching a moral value for each month . As a part of this we often expose our students to places where they learn being empathetic. Here, we share some moments where our students met elderly people at an old age home named “Kamadhenu Vriddhashrama” , “CHAITHANYA MANDIRA ” near Gavenahally. The visit gave them an opportunity to understand the importance of relations. The tiny tots met with the senior citizens there and Mr.Krishna aiyangar, from the management of Old Age Home interacted with the kids and told them about the schedule of elderly people.

The students performed beautiful songs, a dance and games , in which they enthusiastically took part. We went around, meeting and talking to them, seeking their blessings. We kids, staff with our Principal Mrs Mamatha ma’am distributed all the donated things to them and literally experienced the joy of sharing.

Thanks to active contributions from all our parents and staff, we were able to generate a good amount of food supply, which can last for them for many days. Seventy people above the age of sixty-five are the members of the home.

It was indeed a fun and informative visit where kids may be for just an hour and could at least bring a smile on the faces of all the people who are forced to live their lives alone.
