“Awareness on Cancer is the only way we can fight it, because just the news of having it starts killing us psychologically”.
VSPS organised a seminar named “WISCANCER” by renowned Gynaecological Oncologist Dr. Shobha K on 16th of November 2024, from 2 pm to 4 pm at VSPS Auditorium specially for the parents [women] of our school and our staff.
Dr. Shobha gave a wonderful presentation on various types of cancer, remedies, its psychological effects on patients and the important steps to be taken by people especially women to ensure early detection in such a case where there is a cancerous growth in their body.
Dr. Shobha reiterated the importance of early diagnosis of cancer as the main part of our fight against it and she requested the audience to get the cancer tests done at the earliest and also get the periodic tests done so that it can be cured at the early stage.
She advised and insisted that the girls between the age of 9 to 14 years should compulsorily take vaccine for cervical cancer as a preventive measure.
