Smart Classrooms
ICT is integrated throughout the curriculum as a teaching tool. An Active Board with a touch screen that permits a dynamic interactive learning environment facilitates the teacher’s control of student activity.
Interactive boards with state of the art audiovisual facilities have been installed in all class rooms at VSPS to make the teaching learning process more interesting and effective. Students are more engaged, more motivated and more excited about learning.
Teaching through interactive boards concepts become ceasier to understand to the students. It helps not only the students but the teachers too because ‘Digital teaching’ complements their chalk and board method. This leads to an interactive class session where students are actively involved in the learning process and teachers in the teaching process. At VSPS, learning through the interactive smartboards has boosted the learning experience thus making it more interesting and effective, leading to better academic performance in students.
Laboratories
Science
The School has well equipped laboratories For Physics, Chemistry and Biology with customized equipment to cater to the requirements of different curricula and students of different age groups.
The Laboratories are designed keeping in mind the materials being used, safety regulations and ventilation systems. They are spacious and have provision for conducting lectures as well. Lab classes are an integral part of all the curriculums offered at VSPS with every class in the high school having at least one lab period per week. During Lab classes, students not just indulge in performing various experiments, but they also learn the skills of handling apparatus, data collection, lab etiquettes with a special focus on safety.
Computer
The Computer Lab has an advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software which cater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum. The fully networked computers with appropriate research based software and high speed internet access are available for teachers and students to use.
The computers in the labs have been upgraded with appropriate software to enable students of all the classes to compile and run programs in Java with Bluej environment and Basic language as per the syllabus.
Library
he school has a well-stocked library for both juniors and seniors, with an impressive index of titles, covering both fiction and nonfiction, resource /reference books, dailies and magazines. Our rich collection of books is updated regularly and students are encouraged to make full use of this facility to develop a love for books from an early age.
A state-of-the-art Library with its serene ambience encourages children to venture into the wonderful world of storybooks. Young students gather here not just to exercise their reading skills, but also to enhance their speaking skills through sessions of storytelling
Transport
TRANSPORTATION
VSPS has a fleet of GPS enabled school buses, which provides transportation to all our students. The drivers are experienced and courteous to ensure the safety of each child. The drivers go through a rigorous background check before being hired to ensure safety of our students. A trained lady attendant is present in the bus throughout the journey to take care of the children.
Security & Care
Security & safety of each child is our prime concern. CCTV cameras are installed at vantage locations. We take every precaution when it comes to the safety of the children in our care. The entire campus is installed and monitored to ensure the complete safety of children.
Safe drinking water, fire safety & health & hygiene are some of outstanding measures taken.
School has its own sick room and medical nurse. In addition, the school has a tie-up with nearby hospital. The full-time school nurse addresses the physical, mental, emotional, and social health needs of students and supports their achievement in the learning process.
Sports
Sports enhances the abilities of students to work in teams and boosts their leadership qualities. The importance of sports goes beyond serving as mere extracurricular activities. Competitive physical activities keep students mentally fresh and physically fit.
To achieve a healthier lifestyle while coping with the pressures of studying, one needs to be healthy both emotionally and physically.
As a part of this process, VSPS emphasizes the importance of Sports, Yoga, Horse Riding etc.. and considers them as an integral part of the curriculum.
Children learn to give their best in the face of winning or losing. Sports inculcate discipline and perseverance.
