Fostering Public Trust in Science | Sci-Novas 2026
Vidya Soudha Public School, Vijayanagara, Hassan proudly organized its Science Expo “Sci-Novas 2026”, celebrating curiosity, innovation, and scientific thinking among young minds. The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Venkatesh S, Head Master, Yagachi High School, Kandali, Hassan, and recipient of the State Level Rajiv Gandhi Best Science Teacher Award and State Level Best Teacher Award.
The program was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honor – Dr. Manje Gowda, Honorable Chairperson, Vidya Soudha Group of Institutions, along with Mr. Pavan Manje Gowda, Executive Director, Vidya Soudha Group of Institutions. Mr. Parmesh Halgeri, Principal; Mr. Mohan Kumar K R, Vice Principal; and Mrs. Salma and Mrs. Poornima T D, Center Heads of Vidya Soudha Kids, K R Puram and Vijayanagara branches respectively were also present.
The Chief Guest demonstrated a few scientific experiments and, in his address, encouraged students to develop a deep interest in science and innovation. Students showcased a wide range of creative and innovative science models, with robotics projects emerging as the main attraction of the expo. The Chairperson and Executive Director interacted with the students, appreciating their efforts and motivating them to explore science beyond textbooks.
Adding to the learning experience, a Planetarium Explore was organized, giving students a fascinating insight into astronomy and space science. On this special occasion, the school also organized a free eye and dental check-up camp along with a blood donation camp, emphasizing social responsibility alongside scientific learning.
Sci-Novas 2026 truly reflected the spirit of learning, innovation, and community service.
