“Peace is the most powerful weapon of mankind. It takes more courage to take a blow than to give one.” ~ Mahatma Gandhi.
Mahatma Gandhi or more lovingly known as Bapu by all Indians is internationally acknowledged for his doctrine of non-violence that led to India to its glorious freedom.
2nd October every year is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastry’s birthday. The story of Mahatma Gandhi’s life has impacted humanity to its core. This time we had a simple virtual celebration. Even in this pandemic situation we did not want our children to miss this opportunity to know the importance of celebrating Gandhi Jayanti.
To revere this day, the Students and Teachers of VIDYA SOUDHA PUBLIC SCHOOL, held a Special virtual program to commemorate the Mahatma’s life and teachings on 2nd October 2020. The program included video of paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at VSPS by the chairman of VSGI Dr. Manje Gowda and other dignitaries. Bhajans were played, Gandhian facts, few of the moral values and Gandhian era were depicted through videos for the students and parents.
We had our tiny tots with their wonderful speeches and also dressed up as Gandhiji.
All our Students were imbued with Gandhian values and thoughts and vowed to become best citizens of India and this World.
