This momentous day of 02nd July 2022 dawned to bestow responsibilities on the deserving young talents of the school to lead their school from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence.
Vidya Soudha Public School held the Investiture ceremony with great enthusiasm. It was the occasion where the young students were all prepared to don the mantle of leadership and discharge the responsibilities entrusted to them by the school. To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of being an important and integral part of the administrative body, ‘Student Council’ is formed every year.
The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. We believe that the child-centric approach will frame a responsible citizen.
The event began with an invocation song by Mrs. Raksha.
Next march by the newly elected prefects along with the House-Masters, Dignitaries and the Principal embodied the contribution of the school’s convention of delegating responsibility to the newly elected office bearers to spread the light of knowledge and pass on the rich legacy of values of VSPS to their juniors.
The elected Leaders’ profiles were displayed on the Screen. They were conferred with badges and sashes by the Guest, trust members of VSPS Mr.Arvind and Mr. Pavan along with the Principal Mrs. Padmashree. M. The respective House Masters / Mistress of Hoysala, Chalukya, Rashtrakuta and Takshashila, handed over the house flags to their Captains.
The students’ council took the pledge to hold the school motto of Loyalty, Truth and Honour in high esteem administered by the Principal.
Dignitaries present at the event congratulated them and admonished them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties. They also exhorted them to uphold the values. Dignitaries reminded them that with position comes responsibility towards themselves, their school and peers and struggles help one to achieve heights.
Principal Mrs. Padmashree administered the oath to the newly elected ‘Prefectorial Body and delivered a pertinent speech, acquainting the newly- appointed prefects their duties.
The march by all the prefects was a spectacular event that set the mood for the event. The ceremony was concluded by the National Anthem.
