“Eco System Restoration”

To acknowledge the importance of ‘Conservation of a Green Universe’ & ‘Eco System Restoration’, the VSPS fraternity carried out a wonderful online session today the 5th of June to mark the World Environment Day. The session was attended by the Principal, Teaching staff and High School Students.
The function commenced at 9.30 am with the welcome speech by Ms Supriya of Grade 9 followed by a melodious song on nature by Sanjith of Grade 10. A video based on ‘Greenery is natural scenery, retain it forever’ depicting the importance of vegetation and green energy towards a better world was presented by Ms Akshantha and Ms Smriti of Grade 10. The presentation was followed by an interesting and informatory speech on ‘Importance of Healthy Ecosystem and Rich Bio Diversity’ by Shakthi of Grade 10. The slogans prepared and presented by Grade 9 students on ‘Restoration of Ecosystem’ was self explanatory on their thoughts and concerns on the importance of the restoring a healthy Eco System for a coming generations.
A video tribute on efforts of some of the great Indian Environmentalists, like Shri. Saalumarada Thimakka, Shri. Sunderlal Bahuguna, Smt. Vandana Shiva and Smt. Sunita Narain, was presented by Ms Mrudula and Manu of Grade 10, followed by a reciting of a poem on ‘Mother Nature’ by Swapna Maam.
Finally all participants raised a Pledge to ‘Save the Mother Earth’ as recited by Grade 10 students.
Ms Padmashree Ma’am, Our Principal, delivered a keynote address on the importance of saving the nature followed by a melodious song.
The Environment Day celebration was concluded with the Vote of Thanks by Ms Pragna of Grade 10.
